Syriac Union Party and Hasakah Civil Peace Committee foster relations for progress in North and East Syria

ZALIN, Syria — In a bid to strengthen relationships between different ethnic components, political parties, and institutions in North and East Syria, the Syriac Union Party (SUP) hosted a delegation from the Hasakah Civil Peace Committee at its headquarters in Zalin (Qamishli) on Sunday.

SUP Co-Chair Sanharib Barsom, along with members of the SUP Executive Body Rubel Bahho and Afram Ishaq, warmly welcomed the visiting delegation.

During their meeting, both sides engaged in discussions surrounding various issues that are of concern to the people of North and East Syria. They explored ways to overcome social, economic, and service-related obstacles, emphasizing the importance of promoting civil peace and enhancing the role of the Committee.

As the visit concluded, they reached an agreement to continue reciprocal visits, fostering joint efforts and strengthening relationships for the collective benefit of all the people residing in North and East Syria.
