IRAQ: Bethnahrin Patriotic Union strengthens relations and promotes coexistence in Nineveh Plains
BAGHDEDE, Iraq — The Baghdede branch of the Bethnahrin Patriotic Union Party (Huyodo Bethnahrin Athroyo, HBA) has embarked on a series of visits to local political parties, councils, and politicians in an effort to strengthen relationships and foster coexistence among the ethnic components and political parties in the Nineveh Plains region of Iraq.
In their most recent visit, an HBA delegation comprised of Samer Khaled Shamoun and Ma’reb Imad Elias from the HBA Executive Office met with the Council of Notables in Baghdede. The delegation was warmly received by Council Head Sabri Majeed Zaki, his deputy Najah Jamil Habash, and other members of the Council Administrative Body.
During the meeting, the two sides engaged in discussions on the political landscape in Iraq, the conditions faced by the Chaldean–Syriac–Assyrian people, and the primary challenges they encounter in the current political, economic, and security environment. They also exchanged viewpoints on various issues concerning Nineveh Plains.
Both parties agreed on the importance of collaborative efforts and raising awareness about the challenges faced by the Chaldean–Syriac–Assyrian people.
