Chaldean–Syriac–Assyrian political parties in Iraq postpone peaceful protest in Baghdede
BAGHDEDE, Iraq — The political parties of the Chaldean–Syriac–Assyrian people in Iraq, including the Bethnahrin Patriotic Union (Huyodo Bethnahrin Athroyo, HBA), postponed their peaceful protest, in front of the Baghdede District Council building.
The protest was scheduled against demographic change, attempts to seize their lands in the Nineveh plain and confiscation of their will in the election law.
The postponement was due to the recent developments, which negatively affected the social diversity in Iraq in general, and the Nineveh Plain in particular.
The Protest Coordination Committee decided to postpone the protest until further notice.
