Syriac Orthodox Patriarchal Vicariate in Germany celebrates Family Day
WARBURG, Germany — The Syriac Orthodox St. Jakob of Sarug Monastery resonated with joy as the Patriarchal Vicariate of the Syriac Orthodox Church in Germany commemorated a joyous Family Day. This heartwarming occasion attracted a large crowd made up of the Syriac (Aramean–Assyrian–Chaldean) community and the general public gathered to partake in the festivities.
The event was enriched by the singing of Syriac songs, led by the renowned artist Yacoub Shaheen. Under the auspices of Archbishop Mar Felixinos Matthias Naish, the ceremony radiated a spirit of unity and devotion.
In his address, Archbishop Naish delved into the life of Mar Felixinos al-Manbji, highlighting his profound virtues and remarkable contributions to the service of the Church and Jesus Christ.
A delegation from the European Syriac Union (ESU) and representatives from Suroyo TV were in attendance. Archbishop Naish extended invitations to municipal officials from Warburg, alongside a range of dignitaries representing social, cultural, and church institutions.
