International Coalition and Germany Envoy to Syria call for peaceful dialogue to quell clashes in Dayrzo Zcuro (Deir ez-Zor), North and East Syria

DAYRO ZCURO, Syria — The US-led International Coalition, the US State Department, and Germany’s Special Envoy to Syria Stefan Schneck have issued calls for restraint and a return to dialogue among the parties embroiled in the conflict in Dayro Zcuro (Deir ez-Zor), North and East Syria.

Addressing the ongoing fighting between the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and local tribes in Dayro Zcuro and its surroundings, the International Coalition conveyed, via a statement, its ongoing vigilance in monitoring developments in North and East Syria. The Coalition is unwavering in its commitment to collaborate with the Syrian Democratic Forces to guarantee the permanent eradication of ISIS, a pivotal measure aimed at bolstering regional security and stability, according to the statement.

The Coalition further underscored the imperative need to halt the ongoing violence in North and East Syria. They urge all involved parties to take concerted steps toward restoring peace and stability to the region.

Germany’s Special Envoy to Syria Stefan Schneck expressed his country’s deep concern regarding the mounting military escalation in North and East Syria, particularly the clashes between the SDF and tribes in Dayro Zcuro. Schneck conveyed Berlin’s profound regret over the loss of life and called upon all parties to exercise restraint while advocating for a peaceful resolution of issues through dialogue. He firmly emphasized that the people residing in North and East Syria rightfully deserve to lead lives characterized by safety and dignity.
