DAYRO ZCURO, Syria — The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) of North and East Syria escalated the intensity of military operations in Dayro Zcuro (Deir ez-Zor), amid the Syrian regime and Iranian militias attempts to inflame the situation.
Head of Executive Body of Syrian Democratic Council (SDC) Ilham Ahmed stated that the movements taking place in the countryside of Dayro Zcuro (Deir ez-Zor) are backed by the pro-Iranian militias and the Syrian regime.
She declared that the pro-Iranian militias and the Syrian regime aim is to distract the attention of Syrian people from the protests that are taking place in As-Suwayda in southern Syria.
Ahmed declared that the current events in Dayro Zcuro (Deir ez-Zor) are an attempt to get the U.S. forces out of Syria and portray the issue as a conflict between Kurds and Arabs to win international sympathy, adding that the situation needs in-depth research and global attention.
She stressed that peace and communication should be prioritized by all parties in these difficult times, because the people in North and East Syria deserve security and stability, since they have already endured enough suffering.
