Syrian Democratic Forces announces completion of clearance of Al-Hawaij in eastern Dayro Zcuro (Deir ez-Zor)

DAYRO ZCURO, Syria — The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) officially announced the successful completion of their security operation in Al-Hawaij town, located in the eastern outskirts of Dayro Zcuro (Deir ez-Zor). The operation resulted in the restoration of peace and the expulsion of armed groups from the area.

Farhad Shami, the spokesperson for the SDF Media Center, confirmed the progress made by the SDF during the operation. He reported that the SDF forces managed to apprehend four members of the Syrian regime-aligned National Defense Forces (NDF) in the midst of the confrontations.

Ibrahim al-Asi, the newly appointed leader of the Deir ez-Zor Military Council (DMC), also affirmed that many regions within the Dayro Zcuro countryside are now moving towards a state of calm. This transformation has occurred as a result of the DMC’s commitment to establishing security and stability in these areas, said al-Asi.

The SDF remains dedicated to their ongoing Operation Security Enhancement, the primary objective of which is the complete clearing of all of Dayro Zcuro of agents affiliated with the Syrian regime and Iranian militias, said Shami.
