NORTH AND EAST SYRIA — The Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) marked its fifth anniversary with a congratulatory message extended to the diverse ethnic components of the region.
The statement released by AANES emphasized its role as a democratic project designed to uplift all marginalized ethnic communities in Syria, offering a platform for a democratic resolution.
The statement underscored several noteworthy achievements on both political and societal fronts. These include the effective counterterrorism efforts, the establishment of stability among the region’s diverse ethnic groups, the presentation of a national political initiative founded upon Syria’s unity, crisis resolution through dialogue involving all national forces, and the application of decentralization principles.
Despite the many challenges it faced, AANES made substantial strides across various sectors, such as education, healthcare, and public services, read the statement. The administration has worked diligently to align its efforts with the essential needs of the population and ongoing projects aim to fulfill the diverse service requirements and aspirations of the people at all levels, the statement continued.
AANES views its accomplishments, achieved amidst arduous circumstances, as a significant milestone and a testament to its unwavering commitment.
Moreover, AANES reiterated its dedication to fostering interethnic harmony and fortifying regional stability. This commitment is especially crucial in Dayro Zcuro (Deir ez-Zor), where the administration aims to thwart hostile agendas, liberate territories currently occupied by Turkey, and facilitate the safe return of displaced residents to their homeland.
