LEBANON: Universal Syriac Union Party plans commemoration of Feast of the Exaltation of the Cross in Matn Region

SED EL BAUCHRIEH, Lebanon — As the Feast of the Exaltation of the Cross approaches, a tradition going back to 326 AD when the Romans discovered pieces of the Cross in Jerusalem, the Universal Syriac Union Party (USUP) Matn Coordination announced its intention to mark the Feast in collaboration with churches and institutions in Sed el Bauchrieh, Lebanon.

The event is scheduled to take place on Wednesday at 7 p.m. local time in Syriac Martyrs’ Square.

The USUP extended an invitation to the entire Christian community to join in this celebration, emphasizing that it represents a reaffirmation of their commitment to Christian values and principles while also marking a continuation of their spiritual journey.
