Syriac Orthodox Church ordains new deacons in Qabre Hewore, North and East Syria
QABRE HEWORE, Syria — Amidst a large gathering of clergy and the faithful, Syriac Orthodox Archbishop Mor Maurice Amsih presided over the ordination of dozens of deacons at the Syriac Orthodox Church of Our Lady in Qabre Hewore (Qahtaniyah), North and East Syria.
Approximately 86 deacons from Qabre Hewore were ordained during the ceremony, which was witnessed by members of the Congregational Council of the Syriac Orthodox Church in Qabre Hewore dedicated community members, and the families of the newly ordained deacons.
In his closing remarks following the Holy Mass and ordination, Archbishop Amsih emphasized the ongoing significance of service to the Church within the community, extending his blessings to the newly ordained deacons as they embark on their sacred roles.
