Administration of North and East Syria extends condolences to Chaldean–Syriac–Assyrian community in Nineveh Plains after Baghdede wedding fire tragedy

NORTH AND EAST SYRIA — In the aftermath of the heart-wrenching tragedy that unfolded at the Al-Haytham Wedding Hall in the Nineveh Plains town of Baghdede (Qaraqosh / Hamdaniya), Iraq, during which the over 100 Chaldeans–Syriacs–Assyrians died in a devastating fire, the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) extends its deepest condolences to the families of the victims.

In a public statement, AANES conveyed its sympathies, acknowledging the immense sorrow and anguish felt by the people of Nineveh Plains, which has already been through decades of trauma.

Expressing profound sadness over the tragic incident, AANES wished for God’s mercy upon the departed souls, swift recovery for the wounded, and strength for the people of Nineveh Plains and Iraq as they mourn this overwhelming tragedy.
