Future Syria Party’s Youth Council hosts dialogue forum on role of youth in resolving Syrian crisis
RAQQA, Syria — The General Youth Council of the Future Syria Party in North and East Syria organized a comprehensive dialogue forum to discuss the vital role of youth in addressing the Syrian crisis. The event, attended by representatives from various youth movements and councils in Raqqa, Dayro Zcuro (Deir ez-Zor), and Mabbug (Manbij), culminated in a set of recommendations outlined in the final statement.
Recognizing the pivotal role of youth in shaping the future solution to the Syrian crisis, the forum commenced with a moment of silence in tribute to the region’s martyrs. Ahmed al-Khalaf, Head of the Tabqa Council, addressed the assembly, shedding light on the oppressive tactics employed by Syrian regime, which include a deliberate campaign to drive youth from the country and promoting drug use.
Al-Khalaf stressed the importance of not overlooking the voices of youth advocating for change. He emphasized the need for effective communication between different generations while concurrently urging international and local entities to rally behind youth initiatives and harness their energies.
The forum also covered the impact of capitalist modernity on youth and focused on the significant role they play in resolving the Syrian crisis by proposing viable solutions.
In the concluding moments of the forum, a comprehensive final statement was presented, articulating the youth’s vision for resolving the Syrian crisis and underscoring the pivotal role that the younger generation must play in shaping the path forward for Syria.
