Syriac Union Party and Assyrian Democratic Organization meet to discuss joint work in North and East Syria
ZALIN, Syria — After several Syriac (Aramean–Assyrian–Chaldean) political parties signed a document of understanding on the national rights of their people in Syria, visits between the parties continue to unite efforts and reach goals.
On 19 October, a delegation from the Syriac Union Party in Syria (SUP) visited the Assyrian Democratic Organization (ADO) in Zalin (Qamishli), North and East Syria.
The SUP delegation included SUP Co-Chairs Sanharib Barsom and Nazira Goreya, as well as member of SUP Executive Body Rubel Bahho.
They were received by ADO officials Gabriel Moshe, Bashir al-Saadi, Gabro Romanos, and Quryaqus Goreya.
The two parties discussed common issues of importance for Syria and Syriacs (Arameans–Assyrians–Chaldeans) around the world.
The two parties also discussed the accelerated developments in the region, the renewal of many Syrian and regional conflicts, and their effects on peoples of the region.
The importance of intensifying joint work between Syriac (Aramean–Assyrian–Chaldean) political parties and working towards achieving the desired goals were also stressed.
