Syrian Democratic Forces, backed by US-led International Coalition, capture 6 ISIS terrorists in Dayro Zcuro (Deir ez-Zor)
DAYRO ZCURO, Syria — In a significant operation backed by the US-led International Coalition, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) announced the successful apprehension of six members of the Islamic State (ISIS) in the rural outskirts of Dayro Zcuro (Deir ez-Zor), North and East Syria.
The SDF reported that this accomplishment was the result of meticulous intelligence work, which enabled them to pinpoint the ISIS members’ locations and make precise arrests at their hideouts, resulting in the confiscation of their weapons.
In a related development, Nouri Mahmoud, the official spokesperson for the People’s Protection Units (Yekîneyên Parastina Gel, YPG), shed light on the attempts by certain regional nations, specifically Iran and Turkey, to undermine the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES). These efforts have included sowing discord among different ethnic and religious components in the region, with the aim of destabilizing its security and stability.
Mahmoud emphasized AANES’s commitment to the people of Dayro Zcuro to foster stability in the area, resolve issues, and address the legitimate needs of the local population in cooperation with the Arab tribes.
Furthermore, Mahmoud highlighted recent Turkish actions in the region and the promotion of strife in Dayro Zcuro, suggesting that these actions are aimed at disrupting the coexistence that has been established in the area.
