Syriac Union Party meets with delegation from Syrian Democratic Council in Zalin, North and East Syria
ZALIN, Syria — With the aim of fortifying unity among the ethnic communities in North and East Syria’s Gozarto (Jazira) Region and fostering collaboration within the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES), the Syriac Union Party (SUP) welcomed Hussein Azzam, a Relations Officer with the Syrian Democratic Council (SDC), and Abdulaziz Dahham al-Muslat, head of the Syrian Democratic Renaissance Party, to the SUP headquarters in Zalin (Qamishli).
The was hosted by SUP Co-Chairs Sanharib Barsom and Nazira Goreya, and member of the SUP Executive Body Afram Ishaq.
The discussions revolved around the significance of communication and collaboration concerning key political matters and the promotion of unity among the ethnic components residing in Gozarto Region.
They also deliberated on the repeated Turkish attacks on the region, in addition to the most notable regional and international developments. They underscored the paramount importance of cooperation and the exchange of ideas in a manner that advances the interests of all stakeholders.
Abdulaziz Dahham al-Muslat, a political figure with a Ph.D. in international relations and a past detainee of the Syrian regime, was also part of the dialogue.
