President of Universal Syriac Union Party in Lebanon Ibrahim Mrad responds to speech of Hezbollah Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah on Israel-Hamas war

BEIRUT —Earlier, the Hezbollah Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah delivered his first speech on the war between Hamas and Israel.

The speech was described as weak by Lebanese public figures and parties.

Commenting on Hezbollah’s speech, President of the Universal Syriac Union Party (SUP) in Lebanon Ibrahim Mrad stated that Nasrallah was trying to justify Hezbollah position by saying that they did not participate in the Palestinian war, because Iran asked them not to interfere.

“The end is near for the Hezbollah militia and its followers in Lebanon,” Mrad added, describing Nasrallah’s speech as defeatist and weak.

Mrad declared that despite the difficult situation in Gaza, and Hezbollah’s claim that they are defending the Palestinian cause, this is just a false talk made to gain Arab sympathy to control Lebanon and serve Iran’s interests.

Mrad added that this defeatist speech is intended for members of the Shiite community to come out from the Iranian axis control and interests.
