Democratic Nation Culture Festival wraps up in Tel Brak, North and East Syria, showcasing diversity of region
TEL BRAK, Syria — The Democratic Nation Culture Festival held in Tel Brak in Hasakah Canton, North and East Syria, concluded over the weekend after two days of festivities. The event was organized by the Gozarto (Jazira) Region Culture Authority, a part of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES).
Distinguished by the presence of representatives from Bethnahrain National Council (Mawtbo Umthoyo D’Bethnahrin, MUB), the Gozarto Region Executive Council, and various AANES institutions, the festival also attracted local dignitaries, tribal elders, and residents.
The festivities of the second day of the festival included a vibrant array of musical, folklore, and literary performances by diverse teams representing the Syriac (Aramean–Assyrian–Chaldean), Armenian, Arab, and Kurdish communities. Each performance aimed to celebrate and express the rich cultural heritage and history of their respective communities.
In addition to the lively performances, the festival featured plays that artistically portrayed the current situation of the region and its diverse peoples, contributing to a deeper understanding of their shared experiences and stories.
