Bethnahrin Women’s Union organizes events in Europe marking International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women
DELMENHORST, Germany / BADEN, Switzerland — In commemoration of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, the Bethnahrin Women’s Union (Huyodo d’Neshe d’Bethnahrin, HNB) orchestrated events across various cities and countries. Activities took place in Germany and Iraq, with an upcoming symposium scheduled in Baden, Switzerland.
In a united stand against violence targeting women, the Delmenhorst, Germany, branch of the HNB organized a protest in the city center. Additionally, the women from the community actively participated in a joint protest organized by women from various backgrounds in Göppingen to mark this significant international day.
The symposium organized in Baden, Switzerland, will further amplify the HNB commitment to raising awareness and combating violence against women globally.
The symposium, led by Ronak Subo, a member of the Beth Nahrain Organization for Women (BNOW) in Iraq, will cover the rationale behind designating this day as an international initiative against violence targeting women.
