Delegation of Beth Bethnahrin Patriotic Union Party conducts an advocacy tour in Nineveh Plain, Iraq
NINEVEH PLAIN — For advocacy and mobilization of Chaldean-Syriac-Assyrian people, through their political parties, as well as religious and social institutions, the Bethnahrin Patriotic Union Party in Iraq (Huyodo Bethnahrin Athroyo, HBA) visited regions of the Nineveh Plain, including Bashiqa, Bahzani, Merki, Al-Faf and Maghara.
During the visits, the HBA delegation met with clerics and Chaldean-Syriac-Assyrian citizens.
The delegation stressed the need for Chaldean-Syriac-Assyrian people to participate in the governorate council elections, to ensure determining their future and selecting their actual representatives, as well as avoiding some parties who claim to represent Chaldean-Syriac-Assyrian people.
The HBA delegation introduced the Athra Alliance candidate for the Nineveh seat Ma’rib Hinno.
It also gave an overview of the electoral program, emphasizing the need to elect those who work hard to preserve the privacy of Chaldean-Syriac-Assyrian people, their existence and stability, through democratic participation in elections as a national duty, to create qualitative and political stability in the regions of presence of Chaldean-Syriac-Assyrian people and demand their rights.
The HBA delegation concluded its visits at the Mor Mattai Monastery, where it met with Mor Timotheus Mousa Al-Shamani, archbishop of Archdiocese of Mor Mattai and its Environs.
