Syriac Cross and Stichting Schlomo launch Christmas fundraising campaign for communities in Beth Nahrin

BETH NAHRIN — In the spirit of Christmas, the Syriac Cross Organization for Relief and Development, in collaboration with the Dutch non-profit Stichting Schlomo, initiated a fundraising campaign aimed at supporting the Syriac (Aramean–Assyrian–Chaldean) communities in their ancestral homeland of Beth Nahrin (Mesopotamia). This initiative was announced by Rubel Mutlu, an official from the Germany branch of Syriac Cross.

The campaign, which commenced on Sunday, unfolded across social media platforms and the official website of Suroyo TV. To amplify its reach, a special live episode dedicated to the campaign was broadcast on the channel.

Starting at 2:30 p.m., the campaign encouraged online phone call donations as a means to actively engage the community in supporting their fellow Syriacs (Arameans–Assyrians–Chaldeans) in the homeland.

The live episode not only provided a platform for receiving donations but also delved into the impactful initiatives undertaken by key Syriac (Aramean–Assyrian–Chaldean) humanitarian organizations, including the Syriac Cross and Stichting Schlomo. The discussion aimed to showcase the significant contributions of these organizations in ensuring the well-being and resilience of the Syriac (Aramean–Assyrian–Chaldean) communities.

Importantly, the campaign emphasized the critical role such aid in enabling the Syriac (Aramean–Assyrian–Chaldean) people to thrive and flourish in their historical homeland. By shedding light on the importance of sustaining these communities, the initiative seeks to foster a sense of unity and solidarity during the festive season and beyond.
