Beth Nahrain Organization for Women organizes Christmas celebration for children

BAGHDEDE, Iraq — In the spirit of festive celebrations, the Beth Nahrain Organization for Women (BNOW), with support from the Syriac Cross Organization for Relief and Development and the Shlomo humanitarian aid organization in Germany, recently hosted a heartwarming Christmas celebration for kindergarten children and members of the organization. The event, a part of the organization’s annual Christmas and New Year activities, aimed to bring joy to young hearts through the distribution of gifts and sweets.

This year’s celebration took on a special significance. In a gesture of respect for the martyrs of the tragic events in the Nineveh Plains town of Baghdede (Qaraqosh / Hamdaniya), Iraq, the focus was on distributing gifts to children and spreading happiness.

Gifts found their way to the Maar Avram kindergarten and the Children’s House in Bartella. Additionally, children of the organization’s members and employees, as well as residents of Bartella, Baghdede, and Karamlesh, were recipients of the festive gifts.

Looking ahead, the two organizations plan to extend the celebrations by continuing to distribute gifts to children in Erbil and Nohadra (Duhok).

The festivities were documented by Suroyo TV through photos and videos, capturing the delightful moments and activities organized by these institutions, bringing smiles to the faces of the children.
