WASHINGTON, D.C. — In Washington, D.C., Co-Chair of the Syrian Democratic Council (SDC) Mission Bassam Ishaq, emphasized the common understanding between the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) and US Congress. Speaking about the diplomatic importance of their work, Ishaq noted that the AANES experience has generated significant interest among political circles eager to understand its intricacies.
Underlining the role of the SDC as a voice for the aspirations of the Syrian people, Ishaq informed that they have been actively introducing the AANES to US political circles. He highlighted ongoing efforts by regional countries to oppose and distort the AANES project.
