Center for Syriac Strategic Studies advisor Kino Gabriel urges global support to end Turkish attacks on North and East Syria

NORTH AND EAST SYRIA — Kino Gabriel, an advisor to the Center for Syriac Strategic Studies, strongly condemned the Turkish attacks on North and East Syria. Emphasizing the urgent need for backing the Democratic Autonomous Administration of the Region of North and East Syria (DAARNES), Gabriel highlighted the imperative of repairing damaged service and vital facilities in the aftermath of these attacks.

During an interview with Suroyo TV’s “Issues Without Borders” program, Gabriel underscored Turkey’s broader aim to undermine the DAARNES project. He pointed out that targeting vital civilian infrastructure is not a novel tactic used by Turkey, and while DAARNES has repaired them in the past, international support is vital for these facilities to resume their essential services to civilians.

Gabriel asserted that part of the solution involves DAARNES and its supporters building relationships with decision-making centers in Europe and America. This strategic approach aims to influence global public opinion and act as a deterrent against further targeting and attacks on North and East Syria.

Gabriel expressed confidence that the current international silence surrounding the Turkish attacks will not persist for long. He anticipates a shift in political relations between DAARNES, its allies, and international parties, ultimately altering the landscape of responses to these assaults.
