President of Universal Syriac Union Party in Lebanon supports Lebanese Kataeb Party stance

BEIRUT — In solidarity with his stances, President of Universal Syriac Union Party (USUP) in Lebanon Ibrahim Mrad with members of the USUP Political Bureau visited Member of Lebanese Parliament and Head of the Lebanese Kataeb Party MP Samy Gemayel, at his headquarters in Bekfia.

Gemayel recently became the target of a systematic social media campaign following his vocal condemnation of Hezbollah’s military operations, which he views as a threat to Lebanon’s security and its citizens.

The USUP called on all sovereign forces and the opposition parties to show solidarity and stand up to the systematic campaigns, intimidation and threats that target those who rejects the axes of resistance.

Mrad stressed his support for the Kataeb Party, including its head, as well as all sovereign parties and figures, which are struggling to restore sovereignty in the face of domination over Lebanon.

The USUP also supported MP Gemayel suggestion of forming a broad opposition front that include all those demanding the restoration of free decision and reconstruction of the state.
