Syriac Orthodox Church in Zalin (Qamishli), North and East Syria, vandalized
ZALIN, Syria — In the evening on Sunday, 28 January, unknown vandals spayed graffiti on the Syriac Orthodox Church of Mor Aphrem and some Christian houses in Zalin (Qamishli), North and East Syria. The graffiti, written in Arabic, read “the devils are here, not in hell” and “woe to you Jesus.”
The Syriac Security Forces (Sutoro) have been informed of the incident and are investigating.
