MUB Presidential Committee extends condolences on passing of 96-year-old Sitto Bahdo in Hengelo, Netherlands
HENGELO, Netherlands — In a heartfelt statement, the Presidential Committee of the Bethnahrin National Council (Mawtbo Umthoyo D’Bethnahrin, MUB) expressed profound condolences to the Mutlu Shabo Bahdo family on the passing of Sitto, a revered 96-year-old member of their community. Sitto, mother to MUB Administrative Committee member Moshe Mutlu and MUB member Samo Mutlu, peacefully departed on 3 February in Hengelo, Netherlands.
Born in 1928 in Midyat, Turkey, in the historic Tur Abdin region, Sitto was the widow of the late Tuma Shabo Bahdo, and together, they raised five sons and two daughters. In 1976, she emigrated to the Netherlands with her family, where she continued to play a vital role in preserving and upholding her cultural heritage and values.
The MUB Committee acknowledged Sitto’s unwavering commitment to her homeland, religion, and national values. She instilled these cherished principles in the hearts of her children and family, creating a legacy of love and support for the MUB struggle.
“The family stands as a testament to patriotic values within the MUB, and we stand united in sharing their sorrows and pain,” affirmed the Committee.
In extending sincere condolences to MUB comrades Samo and Moshe Mutlu Shabo Bahdo, the MUB Committee expressed solidarity with their grief at the loss of their beloved mother, invoking blessings and mercy from God upon her soul.
