North and East Syria’s Foreign Relations Commission highlights diplomatic achievements and collaborations

NORTH AND EAST SYRIA — Rubel Baho, Deputy Co-Chair of the Foreign Relations Commission of the Democratic Autonomous Administration of the Region of North and East Syria (DAARNES), unveiled key milestones achieved by the Commission over the past year in a statement to the Suroyo TV.

Highlighting the Commission’s proactive engagement in international diplomacy and economic partnerships, Baho emphasized the expansion of relations with numerous European and Asian countries, facilitated through delegations visiting North and East Syria.

A significant aspect of the Commission’s endeavors involved facilitating the repatriation of hundreds of families of Islamic State (ISIS) members detained in camps across North and East Syria who hold foreign nationalities. This initiative underscores DAARNES’s commitment to addressing complex humanitarian challenges while upholding international norms.

Baho reiterated the Commission’s efforts to explain the DAARNES project and its objectives to foreign delegations, saying it is a national endeavor aimed at fostering inclusive governance and stability within the region.
