Syriac Union Party and Kurdish Progressive Democratic Party meet to discuss cooperation in addressing regional challenges

ZALIN, North and East Syria — In an effort to foster cooperation and address key local and regional developments, a delegation from the Kurdish Progressive Democratic Party (KPDP) visited the headquarters of the Syriac Union Party (SUP) in Zalin (Qamishli), North and East Syria.

Led by Secretary Ahmed Barakat and his Deputy Ahmed Suleiman, alongside members of the Political Bureau Hassan Jenko and Fares Othman, the visiting delegation engaged in discussions with SUP Co-Chair Sanharib Barsom and Executive Body members Rubel Bahho and Afram Ishaq.

The discussions centered on pressing local and national issues, with a mutual emphasis on achieving political transition and fostering national dialogue among all segments of Syrian society. Amid escalating Turkish attacks on North and East Syria, both parties underscored the critical need to bolster security and stability in the region.

Highlighting the significance of sustained dialogue and collaboration, the two parties reaffirmed their commitment to regular meetings and strengthened relations, aimed at fulfilling the aspirations of the Syrian populace.
