Democratic Autonomous Administration of Region of North and East Syria receives delegations of the Missing persons Affairs and Syrian Forensic Medicine and the Guatemala Forensic Medicine
NORTH AND EAST SYRIA — The Executive Council of the Democratic Autonomous Administration of Region of North and East Syria received a delegation from the Missing persons Affairs and Syrian Forensic Medicine and the Guatemala Forensic Medicine.
The delegations were received by the Presidential Body of the Executive Council and spokesman of the Missing Persons Committee in North and East Syria Khaled Omar.
The Executive Council confirmed its readiness to provide all the necessary support, stressing the need to speed up the entry of necessary equipment to reveal the fate of the missing persons and ease their families’ burden.
The Guatemalan Forensic Medicine team expressed its readiness to train a specialized team to work exclusively in this field.
The Democratic Autonomous Administration had issued a circular for its institutions to cooperate with the team and facilitate its work, in cooperation with the Interior Authority and Social Justice Council, in accordance with the laws in force in the Region.
On 1 August, the Executive Council signed a memorandum of understanding to disclose the fate of the missing persons.
