Federation of Syriac Associations in Turkey to hold a panel discussion on Syriac language
ISTANBUL —The Gazete Sabro and the Federation of Syriac Associations (Süryani Dernekler Federasyonu, SÜDEF), in cooperation with the Human Rights Association (İnsan Hakları Derneği, İHD), Istanbul Branch, will hold tomorrow a dialogue session on Syriac language, at 2:00 p.m., in Istanbul.
The event will be held on the occasion of International Mother Language Day. It will include several speeches by the Bethnahrin Women’s Union (Huyodo d’Neshe d’Bethnahrin, HNB), SÜDEF President Evgil Türker, official of the Syriac Women’s Association (Süryani Kadın Derneği üyesi, SÜRKADİM) Theodora Hobil and the Human Rights Association Researcher Gülistan Yarkin.
This session will be supervised by Gazete Sabro editor Marta Sömekîn, and will highlight the Syriac language importance and development.
