Youth of Bethnahrin National Council institutions in Iraq hold inaugural camp

ANKAWA, Kurdistan Region of Iraq — Under the slogan Today’s Youth are Future’s Leaders, the inaugural youth camp organized by the Beth Nahrain Organization for Women (BNOW) Education Committee in Iraq, and members of the Bethnahrin Patriotic Union Party in Iraq (Huyodo Bethnahrin Athroyo, HBA) was launched, aiming to nurture and empower the next generation of Chaldean–Syriac–Assyrian leaders.

The camp featured a comprehensive educational program encompassing behavioral and academic lectures, constructive dialogues, and discussions on women’s and youth culture. Workshops delved into the lives of prominent figures from the Chaldean–Syriac–Assyrian community, shedding light on their contributions and legacies.

Addressing prevalent challenges faced by youth, including their causes, effects, and viable solutions, formed a significant part of the camp’s agenda.

The event witnessed the participation of prominent figures such as HBA Co-Chair Yousef Matti and Baghdede (Qaraqosh / Hamdaniya) Mayor Essam Matti, who delivered impactful speeches underscoring the importance of fostering awareness and cultural development among the youth.

In his address, HBA Co-Chair Matti commended the diligent efforts put forth in organizing and executing the camp, expressing gratitude to the organizing committee and all participants for their dedication and commitment to the cause.

The camp concluded on a note of encouragement, emphasizing the pivotal role of such initiatives in empowering Bethnahrin youth and preparing them for leadership roles in their communities.
