Office of Syrian Democratic Council in Zalin, North and East Syria, targeted with explosive device
ZALIN, Syria — The Media Office of the Syrian Democratic Council (SDC) reported that on the night of 26 February, the SDC office in Zalin (Qamishli), North and East Syria, was targeted with an improvised explosive device (IED) by unknown assailants.
The explosion resulted in material damage, but no one was injured. An investigation is currently underway by the Internal Security Forces (ISF), said the SDC.
The SDC strongly condemned the attack, emphasizing that the parties responsible aim to undermine national efforts promoting dialogue to end over a decade of internal conflict in the country.
In its statement, the SDC reaffirmed its commitment to achieving the political stability desired by the Syrian people.
