Funeral for Sutoro martyrs killed in Turkish drone strike held in Dayrik, North and East Syria

DAYRIK, Syria — On Thursday, the people of Dayrik (Derik / Malikiyah), North and East Syria, with attendance by all the towns ethnic components, and alongside the institutions of the Bethnahrin National Council (Mawtbo Umthoyo D’Bethnahrin, MUB) and Democratic Autonomous Administration of the Region of North and East Syria (DAARNES), laid to rest the three members of the Syriac Security Forces (Sutoro) martyred in a Turkish drone attack the day prior.



The funeral ceremonies began at 3:00 PM, with the procession beginning from the Syriac Youth Center.

The mourners toured the streets of the city, heading to the Cemetery of the Syriac Martyrs, where they buried the martyrs Jamil Hanna Hanna and Sharbel Naim Saliba.

Then, they headed to Martyr Khabat Cemetery to bury martyr Muzaffar Muhammed Muhammed.



During the funeral ceremonies, speeches were delivered by representatives of security and military forces, the DAARNES, and political parties, in which the blatant Turkish attacks were condemned.

They also called on the international community to stop further violations by Turkey.
