Syrian Democratic Council visits Syriac Union Party in Syria

ZALIN, Syria — Within the bilateral visits aimed at enhancing relations, a delegation from the Syrian Democratic Council (SDC) visited the headquarters of the Syriac Union Party (SUP) in Zalin (Qamishli), North and East Syria.

The visiting delegation included the SDC Co-Chair Leila Karaman and Deputy Co-Chair Ali Rahmon, as well as member of the SDC Relations Office Hussein Azzam.

The delegation was received by the SUP Co-Chairs Sanharib Barsom and Shamiram Danho, as well as members of the SUP Council Habib Ardish and Rubel Bahho.

The visiting delegation congratulated the SUP 4^th Conference, wishing success to the newly-elected SUP Co-Chairs.

The two parties discussed the most important political developments in Syria and the challenges of a political solution in Syria.

They also stressed the importance of the SDC efforts at the Syrian level, which come in the context of all Syrians aspirations in reaching a political and democratic transition in Syria.
