Syriac Union Party hosts delegation from Peace Party to strengthen bilateral relations

ZALIN, Syria — In a bid to strengthen bilateral relations between political parties in North and East Syria, the Syriac Union Party (SUP) welcomed a delegation from the Peace Party to its headquarters in Zalin (Qamishli).

The visiting delegation, led by Party head Talal Mohammed, included members of the Political Bureau Muslim Abbas, Ibrahim Khidir, and Ahmed Ibrahim, along with Media Officer Imad Ahmed.

Upon their arrival, the delegation was warmly received by SUP Co-Chair Sanharib Barsom and Executive Body member Afram Ishaq.

During the meeting, the visiting delegation extended their congratulations to the SUP on the successful conclusion of its 4th Party Conference and expressed their best wishes to the newly-elected Co-Chairs.

Discussions between the two parties centered around key political developments in Syria and the broader region, as well as the challenges surrounding a political solution in Syria. They also explored avenues to enhance cooperation between their respective parties.

In related news, the SUP also welcomed Sheikh Nawaf al-Taie and other prominent figures including Amer Haloush and Fassal. They congratulated the SUP on the conclusion of its conference and engaged in discussions regarding the latest political developments in Syria, with a particular focus on North and East Syria. Community and service-related issues in the region were also addressed during the meeting.
