Women’s Council delegation visits Syriac Union Party headquarters in Zalin, North and East Syria
ZALIN, Syria — As part of their periodic visits aimed at strengthening relations between political parties and institutions in North and East Syria, a delegation from the Women’s Council in North and East Syria visited the headquarters of the Syriac Union Party (SUP) in Zalin (Qamishli).
The delegation included Women’s Council members Sabah Shabo, Ester Kassem, and Siham Amokeh.
Upon arrival, the visiting delegation was warmly received by the SUP Co-Chairs Sanharib Barsom and Shamiram Danho, as well as by member of the SUP Executive Body Afram Ishaq.
During the meeting, the delegation extended congratulations to the SUP on its 4th Party Conference and expressed their wishes for the party’s success in serving the Syriac (Aramean–Assyrian–Chaldean) people, other ethnic components in the region, and Syria as a whole.
Both sides emphasized the crucial role of women in society and highlighted the achievements made by women under the governance of the Democratic Autonomous Administration of the Region of North and East Syria (DAARNES).
The SUP commended the Women’s Council for its efforts in promoting women’s representation across all institutions of DAARNES and for its commitment to empowering women in all spheres of life.
