Syriac Women’s Union hosts awareness session in Zalin, North and East Syria

ZALIN, North and East Syria — The Syriac Women’s Union (SWU) in Zalin (Qamishli), North and East Syria, organized an awareness session at the Ashtarot House for Syriac Women.

The session was well-attended by women from the Syriac (Aramean–Assyrian–Chaldean) community, as well as other ethnic groups in North and East Syria, SWU members, Ashtarot House staff, and representatives from other institutions of the Bethnahrin National Council (Mawtbo Umthoyo D’Bethnahrin, MUB).

During the session, SWU member Sabah Shabo delivered a speech focused on the future of Syriac (Aramean–Assyrian–Chaldean) women in the region.

Aida Malke, a spokeswoman for the Ashtarot House, described the session as significant and informative in comments to our news desk.

Malke expressed gratitude to Shabo and extended congratulations to all women worldwide on International Women’s Day.
