Military and security institutions of Bethnahrin National Council extend Akitu greetings, pledge defense and stability

NORTH AND EAST SYRIA — The military and security institutions of the Bethnahrin National Council (Mawtbo Umthoyo D’Bethnahrin, MUB), have extended their congratulations to the Syriac (Aramean–Assyrian–Chaldean) communities on the occasion of the Babylonian Syriac-Assyrian New Year, Akitu, affirming their commitment to ensuring their safety and the security and stability of North and East Syria.

Akitu, celebrated annually on 1 April, holds significant cultural and historical importance as the oldest national holiday in Beth Nahrin (Mesopotamia), dating back over six millennia.

The General Command of the Syriac Security Forces (Sutoro) conveyed its heartfelt wishes to the Syriac (Aramean–Assyrian–Chaldean) people, reaffirming its dedication to providing security and fostering security and stability throughout the region.

Likewise, the Syriac Military Council (MFS) extended greetings to Syriac (Aramean–Assyrian–Chaldean) communities around the world, emphasizing its commitment to upholding the legacy of struggle illuminated by the sacrifices of martyrs. The MFS honored the families of martyrs, recognizing their profound contributions to the cause of freedom, and expressed solidarity with frontline fighters and wishes for the swift recovery of the wounded, alongside hopes for the liberation of those unjustly imprisoned by dictatorial regimes.
