Syrian Democratic Council extends New Year and Easter greetings to Syriac-Assyrian communities in North and East Syria
NORTH AND EAST SYRIA — On the occasion of the Babylonian Syriac-Assyrian New Year, Akitu, and Easter according to the Western calendar, the Syrian Democratic Council (SDC) of North and East Syria conveyed congratulations to the Syriac (Aramean–Assyrian–Chaldean) people and Christian communities across the region and the entire country. The SDC expressed its sincere wishes for these occasions to usher in goodness, peace, and happiness for all the peoples of the region.
The SDC emphasized that these holidays represent bright aspects of Syria’s cultural tapestry, showcasing the richness of diversity that positively influences the cultural and intellectual contributions of the Syrian people.
