General Commander of Syrian Democratic Forces Mazloum Abdi extends Akitu greetings to Syriac forces

NORTH AND EAST SYRIA — In a gesture highlighting unity and coexistence among all ethnic groups in North and East Syria, General Commander of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), Mazloum Abdi, extended greetings and congratulations to the Syriac Military Council (MFS) and the Syriac Security Forces (Sutoro) on the occasion of Akitu 6774, the Babylonian Syriac-Assyrian New Year.

Abdi received the MFS and Sutor commanders to extend the congratulations.

The delegation was also welcomed by Roxan Muhammed, spokesperson of the Women’s Protection Units (Yekîneyên Parastina Jin, YPJ), and Rohlat Afrin, a member of the People’s Defense Units (Yekîneyên Parastina Gel, YPG) General Command.

During the reception, Abdi congratulated the delegation on Akitu and presented a shield to the MFS Command and Sutoro Command in recognition of the occasion.
