Joint Delegation from Yezidi organizations visits Syriac Union Party in North and East Syria
ZALIN, North and East Syria — In Zalin (Qamishli), North and East Syria, a joint delegation from the Yezidi House in the Gozarto (Jazira) Canton and the Yezidi Union in Syria, hailing from Europe, visited the Syriac Union Party (SUP) to strengthen ties between ethnic communities in North and East Syria.
The delegation was warmly received by SUP Co-Chairs Sanharib Barsom and Shamiram Danho, along with SUP Executive Member Habib Aradish.
During the visit, the delegation extended their greetings to the SUP for Akitu 6774, the Babylonian Syriac–Assyrian New Year, and engaged in discussions regarding the similarities between Syriac (Aramean–Assyrian–Chaldean) and Yezidi holidays.
The two sides also discussed the overall developments within the Democratic Autonomous Administration of the Region of North and East Syria (DAARNES), exploring avenues to enhance coordination and foster stronger relations for the mutual benefit of the Syriac (Aramean–Assyrian–Chaldean) and Yezidi peoples.
