Bethnahrin National Council President Naim Michael Hadodo congratulates holding Bethnahrin Women’s Union Conference  

BAGHDEDE, Iraq —  Since the establishment of the national struggle, President of the Bethnahrin National Council (Mawtbo Umthoyo D’Bethnahrin, MUB) Comrade Naim Michael Hadodo has been showing vast attention to struggle of Syriac (Aramean-Chaldean-Assyrian women.

During the 2024 Conference of the Bethnahrin Women’s Union (Huyodo d’Neshe d’Bethnahrin, HNB) held in Baghdede in Iraq, Hadodo sent a congratulatory telegram.

“We salute, respect and wish full success to the HNB Comrades participating in the annual conference which was held under the slogan “For a Bright Future of Syriac Women Struggle,” read the MUB telegram.

Hadodo spoke about the history of mankind and the current stage in the Middle East and our homeland of Beth Nahrin (Mesopotamia), which was the source of the movements of change, whose influence is still continuing on world development.

He also spoke about the HNB struggle to eliminate the reactionary mentality, stressing the importance of women will and organization to stand up against misconceptions, defend values and prepare strategic plans to achieve women freedom.

“Women must establish a democratic and free society, and salvation is accomplished by equal rights between men and women,” Hadodo added.

The MUB president stated that the HNB has had an executive role due to its community knowledge, and the Syriac women, along with empowered women in the Middle East and the world, stand against backwardness and resist, as well as show a stance to become an example to follow.

“We salute the HNB comrades and wish them success in their social, national, organizational and political tasks,” the MUB president concluded.
