Women’s Council of Universal Syriac Union Party hosts event for children amidst regional turmoil
ZAHLE, Lebanon — In a bid to bring joy to children amidst the prevailing conflicts and tensions in the Middle East, the Women’s Council of the Universal Syriac Union Party (USUP) organized a vibrant celebration filled with games, social activities, and entertainment for Syriac (Aramean–Assyrian–Chaldean) children.
Taking to Facebook, the Women’s Council shared moments of happiness from the event held at the party’s headquarters in Zahle, Lebanon. The atmosphere was electric as children reveled in the festivities, momentarily escaping the challenges of high prices and ongoing warfare.
As a gesture of goodwill, the Women’s Council distributed candles to the children, aiming to bring smiles to their faces and provide a brief respite from the hardships faced in the country.
