Bethnahrin Women’s Union concludes annual conference with call for empowerment and unity
BAGHDEDE, Iraq — Following the conclusion of its annual conference held in Nineveh Plains, the Bethnahrin Women’s Union (Huyodo d’Neshe d’Bethnahrin, HNB) issued a resolute statement, reaffirming its commitment to empowerment and unity within the Chaldean–Syriac–Assyrian community.
In its statement, the HNB extended heartfelt greetings to Mikhail Naim Hadodo, head of the Bethnahrin National Council (Mawtbo Umthoyo D’Bethnahrin, MUB), and all comrades engaged in national endeavors, underscoring the pivotal role of women in various spheres, including politics, culture, and military affairs, thanks to the union’s unwavering dedication and adherence to its guiding principles.
Titled “The Struggle of Chaldean–Syriac–Assyrian Women, a Guarantee of a Bright Future,” the conference convened in the Nineveh Plains town of Baghdede (Qaraqosh / Hamdaniyah), Iraq, against the backdrop of recent events, symbolizing resilience and determination amid challenging circumstances.
The conference saw the reading of messages from MUB, along with discussions on organizational matters and political analyses. Additionally, nominations for positions within the HNB were opened, signaling a new chapter in leadership, while plans to establish union centers across Iraq were solidified, marking a significant step towards broader community engagement and empowerment.
