President of Universal Syriac Union Party in Lebanon Ibrahim Mrad commends National Liberal Party adoption of federalism

BEIRUT —  During a press conference, the National Liberal Party in Lebanon announced joining the demands of implementing federalism in Lebanon as a solution to Lebanon’s crisis.

President of Universal Syriac Union Party (USUP) in Lebanon Ibrahim Mrad also attended the conference held at the Central House of the National Liberal Party in Sodeco, Beirut.

After the conference, Mrad congratulates the National Liberal Party on this step, because federalism contributes to preserving the religious and cultural pluralism, as well as paves a way to positive competing among the Lebanese people for the development of Lebanon.

“The federalism unites, not divides. The pro-Iranian Hezbollah rejects the federalism because Hezbollah seeks to control Lebanon as a whole,” Mrad adds.

Mrad stressed that there is no solution other than federalism to get rid of Lebanon’s turmoil and to consolidate coexistence, peace and security.
