Property Directorate of Syriac and Armenian peoples meets with Syriac Orthodox Archbishop Mor Maurice Amsih in Gozarto Canton, North and East Syria

GOZARTO CANTON, Syria —  A few days after the Property Directorate of Syriac and Armenian peoples in Syria officially became responsible for preserving the properties of absentees from the Syriac (Aramean–Assyrian–Chaldean) and Armenian  peoples, a delegation from the Directorate visited the Syriac Orthodox Archbishop of Gozarto (Jazira) and Euphrates, Mor Maurice Amsih in Gozarto Canton in North and East Syria.

The meeting focused on returning the property of the Syriac and Armenian peoples in Raqqa and Tabqa, and ways of preserving them.

Earlier, Property Directorate of Syriac and Armenian peoples in Raqqa and Tabqa received a significant transfer of Christian properties after signing a memorandum of understanding with the Democratic Islamic Conference in North and East Syria.
