Calls for restoring the road to Mor Bosus Monastery in Beth Zabdai (Azekh) in Turkey

BETH ZABDAI (AZEKH), Turkey —  Syriac (Aramean-Chaldean-Assyrian) people in diaspora usually visit the villages of Tur Abdin, Turkey in summer to participate in the commemoration events of saints.

The Mayor of Beth Zabdai (Azekh) issued a letter calling on the Turkish government to pay attention to requirements of Syriac people villages, including the restoration of the road that connects the Kaye village and the Mor Bosus Monastery, which is 23 km away from the Monastery.

On 11 May, Syriac people flock to the restored Mor Bosus Monastery. The road leading to the Monastery is greatly damaged and archaeological sites as well.
