Institutions of Bethnahin National Council extend Easter wishes to communities in North and East Syria

NORTH AND EAST SYRIA — In celebration of Easter, according to the Eastern calendar, and to foster closer ties among the Churches and institutions of the Syriac (Aramean–Assyrian–Chaldean) community in North and East Syria, delegations from the institutions of the Bethnahrin National Council (Mawtbo Umthoyo d’Bethnahrin, MUB) spread Easter cheer and solidarity across the region.

A delegation from the MUB visited the Syriac Orthodox Cathedral in Zalin (Qamishli), extending warm Easter wishes to the council members and visiting families of martyrs to offer congratulations and support.

Meanwhile, representatives from the Syriac Security Forces (Sutoro) and Sutoro Women, alongside a delegation from the Internal Authority and Public Relations Office of Gozarto (Jazira) Canton, made visits to the Syriac Union Party (SUP) headquarters, Sutoro centers, martyrs’ families, and various churches in Zalin. They expressed Easter greetings and reaffirmed their commitment to ensuring security and stability in the region, pledging to safeguard churches during Easter Mass celebrations.
