Head of Beth Nahrin Patriotic Union receives delegations for Easter in Baghdede, Iraq

BAGHDEDE, Iraq — Yousef Yacoub Matti, Head of the Beth Nahrin Patriotic Union (Huyodo d-Bethnahrin Athroyo, HBA), welcomed several delegations to the Union’s headquarters in the Nineveh Plains town of Baghdede (Qaraqosh / Hamdaniyah), Iraq, on Easter.

The delegations included Baghdede Mayor Essam Behnam Matti Daaboul, Bartella District Director Ali Mohammed Fathi al-Iskansder, and prominent figures from Mosul and Nineveh Plains, along with a gathering of members of the Chaldean–Syriac–Assyrian community.

Extending their Easter greetings to the HBA leadership, members, and the Chaldean–Syriac–Assyrian community, the delegations also expressed their wishes for stability and prosperity in Iraq.

In response, Matti emphasized that maintaining a national spirit entails continuous communication among representatives of all communities. He stressed the importance of rebuilding bonds within the national community to foster coexistence, enhance communal peace, and address the challenges of the transitional phase in Iraq’s societal and governmental life.

Matti conveyed his wishes for security, economic prosperity, and stability to all Iraqi citizens, expressing gratitude to the delegations for their well-wishes.
