Humanitarian organization in New York support the return of Christians to Nineveh Plain
NEW YORK / NINEVEH PLAIN, Iraq — As part of the ongoing efforts to support the return of Christians from the diaspora to their areas in the Nineveh Plain in Iraq, head of a humanitarian organization in New York, Joseph Lampard, met with members of the local government and Nineveh Governor, Abdulkader al-Dakhil.
During the meeting, Lampard highlighted the support for the return of Christians from diaspora to their areas of origin in Iraq.
He also declared the start of reconstructing the oldest church in Mosul and a number of destroyed churches in the Nineveh Plain.
Lampard stated that the organization will work in the coming days on supporting small projects and providing job opportunities for Christians wishing to return to Iraq, in order to live in prosperity and security in the Nineveh Plain in Iraq.
